Does the Q9450 beat the PII 940? I was looking at some benches of the 940 vs 9400 and in a lot of tests they are extremely close so the full 12mb of l2 on the q9450 might be enough to put it ahead of the 940.

seems like it would. with the extra 6mb of cache. but it's the low clock speed that is holding it back.

i bet if the q9400 and pII 940 ran at the same speeds then the q9400 would beat it.

Believe me I know, I was involved in my fair share of them.

The q6600 would probably fall above the q8200 and possibly the q8300 but probably below the q8400.

q8300?
q8200? (do these beat the q6600 stock for stock? if they do they should be above)
e8600
e8500
e8400
and so on

then fit the phenom I quad/tri's in there.

^ IMO all of the q8xxx series should be below the q6600. and the phenom 1's tri cores should be at or below the e7xxx series
