Failed hard disk WD2500JS

Hi Everyone

I have a Western Digital SATA WD2500JS from 2007 that has recently failed. Basically, when starting up it makes 1 or 2 abortive attempts to spin up and is subsequently not detected by the BIOS. There is no clicking sound. I've changed channels and power sources etc with no luck. What could be the problem?

Not a whole lot you can do with a hard drive. Switch cables and if it still doesn't work replace it.

Should be WD come with 3 year warranty. 5 year warranty on RAID Edition drive.
