There's some pretty good Gskill ones that are just as good, I'm not sure why everyone is first the rec. the ocz, they are overly popular for some reason. But either way, solid state nor raptors have a good price performance compared to a 640gb black.

I am planing on using windows 7 RC. However I don't have any other OS right now. Does that mean I'll have to buy XP or Vista to install windows 7?

^no, you can install windows 7RC alone, it is just like any other operating. Just burn the ISO to a disk and boot from it, then just install it onto your drive.
