nas storage and vid playback

ok, i want to run a htpc off a nas harddrive (not the os). i want two 1.5teras, with one being a mirror of the other incase it dies. i do not want to have to software do this, ideally hardware (so i can put the hd in other computers and not mess it up if i need to) if thats even possible. any suggestions? i have two usb sata enclosures if that helps somehow.

also, would a 939 baord with if i remember correctly ~3200+ proc in it, with an 8600gs be able to play onto a 1080p lcd bluray?

The 939 board wouldn't be too good at playing Blu-ray...you'd need at least an adequate video card in it to get away with it. But even then, dunno about the 3200+.

you can get a nas that will support raid1 for mirrored drives.
Not a complete backup solution but excellent in case of a single drive failure.
