thinking about building a desktop for under 1k

I have been recently thinking about building a computer because I have never done it and my other computer just crashed and I am thinking It would mainly be used for light gaming but more on the side of photo and video editing. What components would be good for me to get for this I am also on a limit of 1k keep that in mind.thanks to any1 who can gimme help

There currently aren't any AMD cpu's that can compete with the q9550's performance.

^^True. I just realized I forgot to include an optical drive in the parts list but that is something you may be able to reuse from your old system.

Also, get the 650tx. It's the same cost as the 550 right now.
