help with building cheap gaming computer

this is my first time trying to build my own gaming computer and after spending hours of trying to put something together on newegg and other websites, i was totally confused.if anyone can put something together for me that would be awsome. im looking for something around 600 dollars w/o monitor. the games i will be playing is mostly wow and maybe empire total war. idk if i should get core 2 duo or quad plz help, thanks:happy:

Just different companies. The x3 720 is a triple core as opposed to a dual or quad.

You really can't beat AMD on a budget.

will that work and dont i have to get some kind of software like wondows vista
 
You will be very happy with the 940.

Don't get Vista, just get Windows 7 for free from Microsoft's website and then buy it down the road when it comes out, or go to Vista at that time..etc
 
alright sweet but everything will fit in that case and the power will work and everthing and it will be easy to asssemble right?and am i missing anything at all for my computer other than the monitor?

yea sorry i was just trying to save money i really have no idea what i am doing 260 is a little expensive maybe i should go with a triple core any recomendations?
