ram problems

I've had a lot of trouble running those boards at 1066 very ram picky if it's stable at 800 set the voltage down to 1.9v and run it at 800 you will not see a lot of difference.

Try running the sticks on separate channels it is not unusual to see AMD chips not run 1066 with 2 sticks on the same channel.

I have never heard of AMD chips having trouble running dual channel 1066mhz. Whats your experiencing should be an isolated problem. Try look for a bios update. Also post a SS of your cpu-z now before your system crashes. If this ram isnt stable at 2.1v, it could be faulty.

Play nice people.

The only time I've heard of AMD having problems with 1066 RAM is with older processors. It was between AM2 and AM2+ I believe. You shouldn't have any issues running it at 1066.

I would personally return/RMA the RAM. Return if you can, and get a better kit, maybe PI Black 1066's.

Bah, a 266 increase is not worth the hassle of that to me. i'd have nothing to put in for new ram anyways
