were i work in a data center they got the data room full of clients (customers) racks aswell as ours, and i want to know what the hardware in the rack is, so what i did was take down the make/model on some of the hardware and maybe you can tell me what it does?

That's what I do when I encounter something new. Usually if you just find the product page, it will tell you everything you need short of studying a particular line of products such as Cisco's, and those Bootcamps aren't cheap
