Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

what board do you have?

a 200bclk will give you 4.2ghz assuming you have the multi at 21.
I would try x6 for memory multi.

Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

I've got the evga x58.

I turned turbo mode off so it would be 4GHz. I'll try 6x multi and let you know what happens.

EDIT: 6x multi didn't work either. I even tried loosening the timings on my ram to 9-9-9-24. Tried bumping up the vcore a little to no avail. I'm really frustrated that I can't even get it to boot at 4GHz. I don't understand

Well...tried pushing my overclock again. These are the results.

Best I can do...unless you count safe mode, haha.

Stock cooler is really the only thing holding me back right now.

Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

I'm pretty sure I can still go faster :D
And here's a little more of my Desktop :D

Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

Thanks for giving me 24 hours Slaymate. :D

With the vcore you are running you have some headroom no doubt.

There is no difference between the D0 and C0. ;)

Is this some kind of Desktop striptease? Keep showing us better times and a little more of the desktop?

Nice time.

Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

wow to both hikaricloud and Slaymate

to hikaricloud:

3.9 on stock cooling with a 720......simply pro yo!

to Slaymate:

Re: Tech Forums Official SuperPi 1M Top List

Thanks taste.

It just goes to show that the only thing holding me back was temps. Before I moved, 3.888ghz was my barrier...that apartment was really warm all the time. Here, it's alright to leave the place colder, and opening the windows makes for a HUGE drop in temps, sometimes around 10c. So with that extra little headroom, I pushed 3.9 with the multiplier alone, no tweaks.the 3.939 in safe mode as actually an accident, I was so confused when I saw it. Lol.

As soon as I pick up a new HSF, I'm breaking 4ghz.
