Hey Folks, this will be my first build (I hope i can do this!) I put together some items, I may certainly be forgetting things and I wouldn't mind any input regarding other options or ways to save $$$. So here's what I came up with so far. thanks for any input.

Yes and then you might as well combo it with the i7 and save an additional whopping $7

I realized I didn't include a sound card, is there any need for one? Also would anyone have any other suggestions on good cases. I'd like one easy to work with for a new builder and also with good airflow etc. Thanks.

I would suggest for an i7 build that you get an aftermarket CPU heatsink and a case with better cooling.

Onboard sound is decent these days.
If you are an audio aficionado then you would still want a sound card for general purposes onboard should be just fine.

For a midsize case I like the antec 300. Newegg.com - Antec Three Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases It will fit a gtx260.
