oops sorry, didnt know that it was moved.. my prob is, i installed 98 on this pc and upgraded it to xp pro sp1.... The workstation and messenger services are not listed in the services. so i cant browse network files.. any help on how to get this work plz.

The article is for service pack 2 but sp1 is also mentioned and may get you to the correct place. Best I could do..hope it helps your getting started.

Thanks bud, i got it figured out.. when i upgraded, it uninstalled client for microsoft networks. reinstalled it, works fine lol. Its always the small stuff that screws ya up
