Oh yeah I realise they are most likely the exact same chips under the heatsinks but that still saves me from trying that little bit harder to get a high first OC

There are no Micron D9's in 2x2gb kits. Either Elipda or Promos. Your basically going to get the same thing w/ any of the kits. Some might have alittle more headroom and better pcb but thats it.http://www.memoryc.com/computermemory/ddr2ram/4gbgskillpc26400piseriesblack.html

they are a newer version of micron d9's which are higher density and still great for overclocking, crucial is a division of micron so all their chips are microns.

Yes but they are not the ones we all have grown to love and refer to. DGMH, D9GKX are the ones we always talk about. The higher density chips 2x2gb don't come close to the overclocking potential they had. Now if we are talking about DDR3 like the D9GTS,D9GTR or D9JNL then those are a different story.

well 1120mhz on stock voltage (from 800mhz) is pretty good if you ask me, that's what you'd expect from the Gskill HZ with the better d9's on them.
