replacement hard drive

i have an acer 4000lci laptop & the hard drive went out,it had a 60gb hitachi travelstar ata/ide. i ordered a hitachi travelstar 160gb for replacement,they sent a 160gb 5400/8mb mobile serial ata sata hd drive.is this the same type or compatable with the old ata/ide drive?

IDE and SATA are not compatible with each other at all, you may want to return the drive.
