Ok, that what I have so far.

Comments? Concerns? Did I mess anything up? Get anything right?

Most seems pretty good, but maybe a bit exxcessive, what exactly are you using it for?

i can't comment on the quadro though since this is more of a gaming thread but if your serious about CAD then quadros are the way to go, 850 is alot though, i would make sure you really need this before spending that much on a CAD by talking to a forum member who does CAD.

Now, why are you ordering from multiple sites? just get from one site otherwise your gonna pay excessive amounts on shiping. Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! has the best range and very good prices.

I've never heard of ridata before, but for ssd the OCZ vertex series is good for reasonable prices.

Tell us exactly what your doing becuase this rig seems a bit too extreme, you could make a build for significantly less with basically the same performance.

Looks good, although i would suggest with going with this PSU instead:

Newegg.com - PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W EPS12V SLI NVIDIA SLI Certified (Dual 8800 GTX and below) CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

PC Power and Cooling are very repuatable and reliable - a good thing in a workstation build.

Im guessing this is more than just a CAD build, the specs are way beyond what a normal autocad machine would need.

That screen is also nice because its a S-PVA screen so the viewing angles and colour reproduction should be much better than normal panels. Also look at the Dell ultrasharp 3007WFP, its in the same league as that samsung, but might be slightly better - i dont know but check out some reviews (i have the 27" and its an excellent screen for graphics work).

I agree, this seems a bit much for CAD, but if you have the money, it's your choice. ;)

Go with the PC Power & Cooling PSU that meat mentioned, and also I would grab a different CPU cooler.

Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-LGA1366 LGA 1366 Core I7 Retention Bracket - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

50 bucks total, free shipping, 10 bucks back in an MIR. Works great.

Yeah the V8 is good but i preffer a direct contact cooler. (Eg S1283 or Core Contact)

Those are good changes. Also in the SSD department I would look at either:

Newegg.com - Suggested Products

or
Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex Series OCZSSD2-1VTX60G 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid state disk (SSD) - Solid State Disks

The Intel is the fastest SSD, and the OCZ is the best "budget" SSD. Most SSDs out there sue Jmicron controllers that for lack fo a better term, suck. The Intel uses an in-house one, that happens to be the best, and the OCZ uses one called "barefoot" which is a lot better than the Jmicron.

Thanks for the replies! I'll keep the changes in mind.

I've been told that using all 6 slots for RAM to get 12GB actually slows my PC down, so does anyone have any other recommended Ram I could get that -doesn't- take all 6 slots?

Thanks in advance.

That's not true. Actually it speeds you up. Using all the slots will let you run your ram in Tri channel and it will increase the bandwidth and effective speed of the memory.

Not sure who told you that, 12gb may be excessive depending on what your doing but it definitely won't slow your computer down.

I would go with 6gigs right now, unless it was a server. Even a workstation doesn't need 12gigs. Honestly, you will see a bigger bump in performance by using a good SSD instead of getting a huge amount of ram.
