New PSU, need advice

My old PSU recently went bad and now im looking to replace it. I dont know much about PSUs, and I was hoping you guys could help.

This is what I have to power:
Intel Q9550
Geforce 9600GT
2 WD SATA Hard Drives
Sony DVD-RW
A few fans

I'm not doing any overclocking, either.

I was thinking going with this:

because theres a pretty good deal on it today. I know its kinda overkill, but i didnt know if the 450 Watt one for $25 less would be enough.

The 450W one would probably do ok, until you upgrade your GPU. You may as well get the 650TX, then the power will be there if you need it. Though you may want to consider the 550VX if your motherboard doesn't do crossfire/SLI.

Go with the 650. It will be good for upgrading your GPU later.

And it's a steal at that price after MIR.

Agreed. When going with a power supply, there is one simple rule to follow:

Go with a wattage that is one degree larger than what you think you will need.

That way you are covered for future upgrades. And by one degree larger, I mean if you think you need a 550W, go with a 650. If you think you need a 650, go with a 750. Just helps to make sure you don't end up purchasing a new PSU down the line just for a few upgrades.
