and for a small detail, since mostly what your going to see when looking down through the top panel is the cd/dvd drive, i bought these two guys to place on top of the drive.

and to give you a rough idea on how they would look

and, if the buyer of my phenom pays tonight, i will be ordering my parts for the rig to sit in this case.

looking not too bad. coming along nicely. :)

and i did exactly what trotter said for my old antec three hundred and cut a hole for PSU fan. i am about to do the same for my 1200. helped my PSU lower in temps a bit.

if you dont trust the carped under it then just get a piece of wood or something to put under it so that it has a hard, clean, surface to draw air from.

picked up a new monitor for this rig.

never thought i would buy a gateway product but i did.

specs:

Gateway FHD2401
24" widescreen
HD 1080p
1920x1200 resolution
2ms Response
2000 - 1 contrast
16:10 aspect ratio

also, trim came in and its applied to both the side window and the top window, and the 90º angles were no problem, used 1 piece of trim per window. will post pics after new rig is assembled.
