Replacement Motherbord Advice

hello

I would really like some advice on a motherboard. My current system is:

CPU - Intel E8500 FSB 1333mhz Core 45nm Socket LGA775
Ram - Corsair Dominator 1066mhz PC2-8500 4gb 2x2gb
PSU - Tagen BZ series 600w
Graphics - ATI Radeon HD 4870

I have an ASUS P5Q-E with latest BIOS at the moment but its already destroyed 2 lots of ram and a friend of mine said he has also had probs with recent ASUS boards. So have just decided to bite the bullit and switch manufacturer altogether.

I'm not really intrested in OCing or Xfire just want a good solid board that will run everything smoothly.

Looked at a few threads and the Abit P35 chipset was recomened but they were posted last year. So any advice would be really appreciated.

yeah gigabyte for sure they are the best overclockers, the ud3p's are good. the ds3 use to be one of the best boards around foe 775. biostar also make the best boards
 
cheers the the info. never used gigabyte boards before mainly stuck to asus and abit but will definitely check them out. thanks a lot.

btw does anyone rate msi or should i just stick to gigabyte?
