Wow it has been awhile since the last time i have posted here but dont worry ive been hovering lol. well i have a question ive been upgrading my computer slowly and so far i have upgraded my hp a250n with a new case, power supply, a gig of ram, a 6800 gt, and some neon tubes, and i have overclocked it from 2.6 ghz to 3.1 ghz. now my question is i love overclocking now that i have gotten into it and i play a lot of demanding games at high resoluton so... would it be better for me to upgrade to an athlon 64 processor/ motherboard or a p4 processor/ motherboard. i plan on overclocking ether one quite a bit and im pretty sure it will ether be the athlon 64 32/3400+ or a p4 3.0 or 3.2c processor that i hope to get around 3.6/3.8 ghz. any help in deciding would be appreciated.

I would get the AMD 64 3400+

Yeah, I agree with TheMajor. That CPU should....will play just about all games, for a long time.

I also agree, amd has a different instruction set and its better for gaming
