need help quick

hey guys im in the process of swaping out my motherboards and i was pulling the blackplate off my old mobo and the adhesive pad got all ripped up and half stuck to my old mobo.

so what im wondering is if i install the backplate without any adhesive pad in the back will it cause any problems?

My tuniq never had the plate stuck.

It just makes it easier to put on. I think any non conductive tape would work.

I did however still have the tape/pad on the plate.

As long as you can screw in the screws to hold it on tightly, I doubt the adhesive is necessary.

well what i really ment was i didnt know if it would short something out or something of that sort. but i found the clips kit for my ximatek and i just used those. plan on taking mobo out next week anyway for some wiremanagement so ill prolly change it back. so i was really just kinda wondering if it would short something out cuz the black plate is metal or something like that...

yea ill see though i can prolly go to the craft store and pick up some kind of foam tape stuff and cut out a spacer out of it.
