need a new laptop for college

DANG so nvm ab the budget, its actually a 1500$ one now haha!
so ya any idears?
so total stuff i need on it (with some added things)
-dvd/cd
-15-17" SCREEN
-2-4 gigs of memory
-250+ HD
-good processor
-cooled well
-protective case available
-prefferably no OS already on it
-long battery life

You really don't need to spend $1500 on a laptop for what you want it to do, just go with what Pyro suggested.

Did you talk to the college to find out what they recommend, offer, and support? That should be the first step.

nah i havnt, ill ask when i get the chance but itll be for personal use (youtuibe, forums, google, hw) nothing too complicated.

It doesn't matter what it'll be used for. Your college may offer a discount or a package deal with software that you would use for your coursework.

When are you starting school? If it's not until this fall, you don't want to buy a computer now.
