HDMI assistance

hey guys i am trying to get the integrated HDMI video out to work on my asus M3A78-EM HTPC mobo to my 47" LCD TV.
i am having no luck. is there anything specific that i need to do? besides plugging in the cable obviously. shouldn't that video output work automatically?
VGA works fine.

NVM fellas. figured it out. you cant have VGA and HDMI hooked up at the same time apparently. Thanks for your assistance lol
