Hey all!, thats right I'm back, been about 6 months i'd reckon. But anyway I've decided to make a budget rig for about $400 American after rebates. This is because i am going to ship these items from Newegg to Australia.
i am going to need the following components and this is what I've planned so far, i am a little out of the loop now but plan on getting back in with the new stuff, although it seems a lot hasn't changed besides a few revisions and re-branded nvidia cards.
motherboard: Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP45HP LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
CPU: Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
ram: Newegg.com - OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
video card: 4850 - Newegg.com - ASUS EAH4850 TOP/HTDI/512M Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards or Newegg.com - MSI R4850-512M OC Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
hdd:Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3320613AS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives, couldnt afford the upgrade to the .12 xD
cooler: Newegg.com - Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer CPU Cooler W/TX-2 - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
thats my basis right now, kinda sticking to what i know im sure theres better stuff for cheaper that use guys no of, comes to 424. i wanted to keep it under 400 so i could add cheap xms2 ram maybe even a e5400 what do you guys think?
