alright, I've gotten what I need

I've really been hung on an i7 build for quite some time now and only really considered AMD in the past few weeks,

regarding the GTX 275 i must agree, 4890 is where I'm going no matter which build

I've heard that in xfire at 1900*1200 they scale really good, above 90%

I think I'll bite the bullet and buy the i7 and my sub woofer will just have to wait....

I've got too many expensive interests

Yeah crossfire is known to scale better than sli at the uppper end.


About your build. I'm not a huge fan of the Cosmos myself, but thats due to looks. I can't comment on how good it is. there are a lot of good new cases that have just come out that you might want to check out also. The storm sniper, storm scout, panzer box, etc.

I would get a 3rd party cooler, as i didn't see you list one. You can get an lga1336 bracket for the core contact freezer, That should do you fine.

Other than that I think its solid.

You can swap out the combo deal I put in there for the Biostar that salty suggested, it's a good board too.

Also, I put the Seagate 640gb in there because it's 10 bucks cheaper for the same performance.

I don't like the EVGA. I don't trust the quality of their mobos. Not only that but you are only saving $25 when the difference can be more than made up with a mobo change.
