Ok. Here is a pic of my mobo: look at the white 8 pinned power plug next to the CPU. http://www.turbozone.ro/fotografii/Placi_de_baza/Biostar_TP45_HP_SOCKET_775.jpg
And here is a pic of my PSU: the cord at the top of the pic is the power cord for the CPU. Only one of those goes into my mobo. so that my 8 pinned power plug has 4 in it. is this ok?

One more thing. in the psu pic, what are those extra 2 pronged cords attached to the pci-E cords used for?

MOBO: Biostar TP45 HP
PSU: Corsair 650TX
GPU: Radeon HD4850

The psu should have 2 4pin connectors that hook together to make up an 8 pin one.

The extra 2 pin connectors attached to the pcie cords are for graphics cards that require 8 pin pcie connectors

ok. i agree yes it does. but one of those connectors is all uhh "u" shaped instead of "u" and some square pins. so basically the second 4 pinned connector wont fit? Is this bad?

it's best to plug them all in. but for a dual core you only need the 4 pin. but for tri or quad core you need all 8. and trust me all 8 will plug in to it.
