Is there RAM for Dell Dimension 8250 other than expensive kind? Any type or speed that will work for average to semi-gaming use? Replacing; RDRAM / RAMBUS RIMM PC 1066 32 p ECC, 184 pin dual channel. 2.4 GH Intel, 533 mh fsb, geforce 7600 GT 512mb. Thanks.

If it is RDRAM it can only use RDRAM. You would come out cheaper replacing your motherboard and RAM.

If you use THIS method, you can swap out the motherboard without having to reinstall Windows.

Thanks for the help, I have searched the net for answers. Replacing mboard will have new slots for ram & graphics card? I just went to install gforce 7600 GT & no such slot.

Your graphics card is an AGP card, correct? If so, you won't be able to use it in that board as it is a PCI-E board. Here's a mATX board that will work:

These are a little higher because of the RAM (DDR has gotten more expensive than DDR2), but it will work.
