most i7 chips can past 4GHz with relative ease, just cooling it is hard, it can definitely take voltages up to 1.4

Thanks for that bit of info! I may start looking for a good liquid setup and crank this baby up to 4ghz.

Haha, I wouldn't have the first clue of how to hook any of that up. Where in the world would I put that huge fan trio?

That would be the radiator with three fans. The easiest is to hang it off the back of your case using the included rad box.

For the record, those temps are ridiculously high. 70c is something you don't want to pass, and you topped out around 80c.

Don't pay attention to that thread about 100c being the limit, no CPU should go that high.

It's on Xoxide Ultra ChillTEC Thermoelectric CPU Cooler at Xoxide! $139.

What cooler would you suggest? I can't seem to find scheisse for the LGA 1366.

Wow, that's a lot for that. If you were going to spend that much on a normal cooler, you should just get a water cooling loop.

Most of the good air coolers have mounting kits for the i7.

1) Thermalright true ultra 120
2) Sunbeam core contact freezer.
