HDD partition

i have buy new dell studio now there is two drives showing c for opreating system and d for recovery i want to make partition of c like e f g how can i do without formatting my windows? i dont want to forrmat becoz dell softwares are quit pretty for me

Make sure data files are backed up in case of a problem. Not that there will be but better to be safe than sorry.

in xp you could use partition magic, its a nice little program

if your on vista you can just go Start Menu>Right Click My Computer>Management>Disk Management and resize your partitions

I recommend partition magic if you are using XP.

Second for GParted. Way easy and free. I use it all the time, and have yet to have any problems on all OS's (XP, Vista, Linux).

gParted. Much faster, and you can make a live cd to boot with. I'm using it currently.

Partition Magic used to be ok, just like Paragon used to be ok, but gParted takes the cake.
