74GB raptor worth it?

I have 2 raptors in raid0. They are fast and very hot and loud.
As a single drive it is not that much faster than 7200rpm drives.
For my next build I am ditching the raptors for a 500gb 32mb cache for less heat in the case and wait for ssd to drop in price.

My Raptor X hardly gets warm to the touch, and it's no noisier than my TB Seagate or my other 7.2k WDs. I have a 92mm Papst fan blowing directly on it, but that's about it. All I can say is that I've done some light benchmarking, and the general "feel" and swiftness of the system too, and I would buy the drive all over again....unless I could splash out on a good SSD.

Couldn't have said it better myself. These drives are extremely loud and very hot. I am also having problems with the connections (I lose connection to the drive and have to shake it a bit). This presents pretty serious issues with the RAID at times. Just from my experience with them I would suggest something else, like a Vertex or something.
