Hmmm... 3.2g on stock Phenom Heatsink..

I just noticed this.. So I juiced it back up. I had this board and CPU liquid cooled before (Got tired of swapping stuff in and out of the liquid case, used a temp case till my good board gets back from RMA).. Anyway, it WAS on liquid and stable @ 3.3g, no torture test.

Phenom 9950 BE
Stock Phenom Heatsink.
Asus M4A78 MoBo (temp)
Open side panel too.. I can't find it..


16x Mult
1.4125 VCore

DRAM @ 800m (won't go higher for some reason, running 8g of 1066 DDR2.. un touched @ 5 5 5 15)
DRAMV @ 1.99

That's the board right? or do you have the -e version?

Either way.. that's solid.. I can't get a single Mhz out of my X2 4600+.. Biostar TA-780G isn't the best OC'ing board around

^ Yeha that's it.. It's my temp board until my good one gets back from RMA.. I was just really surprised it will do this on the stock heat sink with those temps! I was actually running 44* on a Z5 CPU cooler with my Asus M3A32 MVP Deluxe board.. = The stock phenom heat sink is a better cooler than the Rosewill, or the board is better.... But that goes without saying..

I tried OCing my buddy's X2 4200 on an older A8V style Asus board, and there were almost NO options for it.

This is my good one (one in Sig)..
