I beg to differ, the GTX 275 has the HD 4890 in most gaming and synthetic benchmarks used the only real exception being Crysis, oddly enough as Crytek prefers nVidia GPUs, mainly due to it's 1 GB buffer.

And even then the difference is negligible ( maybe 2 FPS faster on certain resolutions).

The cards trade blows depending on what games and resolutions but overall the GTX 275 manages a slight lead over the HD 4890 from the majority of what I've read..

Just google "GTX 275 vs HD 4890" if I'm not a credible source

I read the reviews back on the 2nd when the HD 4890 cane out. Going by the anandtech article which used the newest drivers for both cards the HD 4890 wins every game at 1900x1200 and 1680x1050 except Age of Conan. Considering that they tested 7 games and the two resolutions the HD 4890 wins 12:2.

but anandtech does turn the AA up to x4 when they do their benchmarking. if you look around at other sites that dont use AA then the GTX 275 and 4890 are really equal. plus who uses X4 AA any ways?

Who doesn't use at least 4xAA when gaming? I run 4x with my current card, if I bought a new one I would be running 8x minimum.

hmm, strange i only like to use x2 AA if i go any higher it some times makes it kindve fuzzy looking depending on the game.

I'm getting deja vu...I think we were having this argument in the 4890/275 thread.

Regardless, I still say the 4850 x2.
