reallocating drive space

i have c: as the main drive for only 2 gigs and the rest is unallocated.!..how do i re allocate the remaining space back to c:

I take it that you have win98? partition magic would do it
 
no..sorry..i have win 2000..i am trying to install word 2000 but it wont install on any other drive except C:
 
i reccomend using partition magic. run it and right click the grey unallocated space, then format using NTFS or FAT32

u can use windows 2000 disk manager as well

I understand, it has to be where the os is. I still say partition magic
 
ok..where do i find this partition magic..and hopefully it wont mess with my computer/system or files ...sorry..newbie here..thanks
 
google it....it won't mess anything up. If you have unallocated space on the end of your drive and u format it, its OK
when u are trying to resize the 2000 partition I recommend to backup data first. If something goes wrong it will be really ******!
also check http://www.powerquest.com ...maybe they have a trial version
