Can I schedule my computer to turn on at a certain time?

Shouldn't be. Just have your system in I believe S3 mode (most computers are default in this anyway) and it should take care of itself. Can always to a test run to make sure... set it for a few minutes after now's time, and turn the computer off and see if it works.

how do i change it to S3 mode? this computer is so odd since it came, i dont trust it.

If you are having issues with sleep and hibernate you wont be able to have your system use the Wake on Alarm or any other settings as the system would first have to be in that mode to be able to wake from it.

You will have to solve the issue of the BSOD on those modes first.
