Vista 64 is just fine. Don't be afraid of it. I have been running it for over a year now, and actually didnt even bother to install xp last time i rebuilt.

This seems to be then what I have to analyze before I make the ultimate purchase!! I am absolutely thrilled about this new build.

As a last measure of safety, is there anything that has been overlooked or needs to be adjusted? I want to make sure when this puppy arrives I need nothing more. Again, much thanks to the ultra techies!

Why not get a cheaper monitor?

Newegg.com - ASUS MK241H Black 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with 1.3M Pixel Webcam 450 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 3000:1) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors
Newegg.com - SCEPTRE X24WG-1080P Black 24" 2ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 4000:1 w/ Built in Speakers & HDCP Support - LCD Monitors

That second one kinda looks to good to be true. It'd be best to let someone more knowledgeable in monitors check these out first, but yeah, I wouldn't want you to spend an extra $100 if you don't have to.

Would buying this make sense or is the nic in my mobo more than sufficient. I have this person telling me how much better Newegg.com - Killer NIC K1 Gaming Network Card – 10/100/1000Mbps PCI Network Adapter -- Less Game Lag, Smoother Gameplay - Network Interface Cards is. Thanks!
Waste of money IMO. Unless you have an amazing Internet connection (like fiber) you wouldn't even see a difference because more likely than not it is you connection that would limit you before your NIC/hardware.
