Running a comp on a 52" 1080p tv

What sucks on my tv is that my only option is VGA or HDMI. I dont have DVI. You would think on a 3000 dollar TV it would have that option. Heck, my 42" sony has DVI.

Ouch that stinks, funny thing is, DVI is compatible with both of those.

Quality-wise, HDMI and DVI are the same.

Yeah, they have the same electrical signal.

Uh, what do you mean? Can't you just use a dvi to hdmi adapter thing on your graphics card? You must be talking about something else, but I don't know what it is.

No, my tv itself only has hdmi and vga INPUTS. My video card has both DVI and HDMI out.

You could go hdmi to hdmi then couldn't you?..

if you have an independent audio receiver you can run the video on hdmi and audio on a different channel or just plug the hdmi into the tv and the audio to the receiver. like others have said nvidia has a good controler for adjusting the screen size if that doesnt work your tv should have one too

HDMI is just fine for TV....you can only go to 1920 x 1200 anyway.

Then just hook up some speakers for your sound. I just hooked mine up to my sound card...worked great.

Thats how i have it setup. With digital audio going straight from the mobo to the reciever.
