What is the best processer for gaming? Are pentiums or amds better?

AMD's all the way for gaming.
Either get an AMD Athlon XP3200 (Barton Core) / 400MHz FSB or go for one of the new AMD Athlon64's.

The higher the operating frequency the better. Correct? If this is true wouldn't a 3.4Ghz Pentium4 be better?

AMDs are WAY better for gaming and overall system performance.

Even though Intel's clock speeds are faster, AMD will perform just as good if not better. For gaming I would go with an AMD 64 3200 or a 3500 if you have the money. However you will need a good graphics card to go with it.

OK I use Intel, so that makes me a panzy? My god, I get great performance out of it, so tell me nvidia panzy boy lol, what is so panzyish about Intel?

AMDs may be better for gaming, but, that doesn't mean that you're gonna get terrible performance out of an intel. But if gaming is your primary concern, go with a 64-bit AMD.
