No thermal paste on AMD cpus?

I just bought that. It didn't come with any thermal paste, and it doesn't show any in the installation either. How come these things don't need thermal paste? I've got some leftover from my i7, but I guess I don't need it.

If you have a stock cooler, its already on it...


If you are using an After Market cooler, you'd always have to have it..

Yeah, I forgot about that. I had two tubes because I bought some arctic silver, and then my aftermarket cooler came with the other tube.

Btw, my mobo came with this DCCFX-P2 pci chip thing. What is this for? I don't think I'm going to put it in there. Edit: It appears to be for crossfire.

It's not for crossfire...it's for putting into the "slave" pci-e slot when you only have one GPU so it can run at full x16 speed.
