RMA'd 1950xtPro... get back HD 3850?

it took visiontek over 6 weeks to get this thing back to me and they sent me a HD 3850... its like 10 slot higher on the grfx card ranking but will i notice much difference? what is the difference in these cards? it seems to be running really hot (as did the 1950) compared to my old 7900GT.
At least it works! for now

I say woo to visiontek for giving you that card instead of another 1950xtPro. You should see a decent boost from that. They probably just gave you something comparable since they most likely don't make 1950xtPro's anymore.

The 3850 is a very nice boost from the 1950pro. I went from a x1950xt to the 3850... very nice jump.

I RMA'd my 1950, got a 2900 (DOA), and then got a 3850 in exchange. Mine was through Sapphire, though. I already had my current 3850 and no Crossfire board, so I passed it along.

But its a great card, same applies to the 256MB version, and its quite a big boost from an x1950Pro
