maxell dvd+r

Hey, these dvd+r discs i bought have a warning on them. It says that with some 2.4x write speed that it can result in errors or damages. The problem I have is that the burner won't even recognize the disc. Anyways they say to go to www.dvdrwservices.com to get hardware updates. I have a Sony DRU-530A and i just got the newest firmware, but the drive still won't read it. I wonder if I can take the discs back? Thanks, Matt

Maxell are fairly cheap DVD quality wise so it is possible. If your burner doesn't see them I would definitely try and return them for a refund. The worst they can say is NO CAN DO.
