My brother is looking for a new laptop. It will mainly be used for things like browsing the web, office type work, paint, youtube, other media playback, whatever it is that people do with computers. We both live in the UK and so need delivery there he found this on amazon and I thought it looked pretty good: Acer Aspire 5920G 15.4-inch Laptop, Intel Core 2 Duo: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
What do you think? Is there better value for money? Is that not as good as it looks? I think that that is pretty much the most he wants to spend but if you have any recommendations that would be great. Thanks.

4gig ram, blu-ray drive, and dedicated graphics. That's a lot for just shy of $700. I would do some research on the actual model if you can. Find out about the case, screen and battery life etc. There are a lot of things you need to know about a laptop that a spec sheet can't tell you.

EDIT: Review of the Acer Aspire 5920 Laptop - PC World

I found one for you. Seems the biggest complaint is the battery life and the screen is a little too shiny.
