need a new cpu heat sink or water cooling kit
i got a i7 920 cpu with x58 mobo i wanna get close to 4ghz and run on low temps
right now my temps with stock fan is 37c any suggestions?

Well, I suppose your talking about Idle temps, which don't really matter at all.

It's the temps you get under load that make all the difference.

Now much are you willing to spend? A good heatsink should be able to get you up to 4ghz with relative ease.

That would probably run you around 50 bucks, a good water cooling loop, for just the cpu would run you around 300.

Seems the thermalright true is the best air-cooler for it right now.
Aspire can tell u all about water cooling. EDIT: here he is now!!!

The TRUE is not the current king, Any of the Direct Heatpipe Contact coolers give it a pretty good run for it's money at half the price point.

Consider the Sunbeam Core Contact or the Xigmatek 1283 (Probably wrong on the Xigmatek model number, but it's something like that.)

Nope your right. Its the S1283.

I stand corrected. I forgot Sunbeams fit lga 1366.
I'm sure you've heard of the Titan TTC-NK85TZ.
When does it come out? Will it work with i7?

Haha, I don't follow heatsinks at all, certain ones just stand out as being recommended all the time.

Air cooling is dead to me.
