the extra $45 isn't much worth it

and maybe they are put on a better line but I'm not to swayed in that the basic architecture doesn't vary enough to make a difference

either way the Platinum series is fine

Ok well it may get hot, but nowhere near enough to warrant water...

i agree, they just need a little better heatsinks, like the flex series. just dont water cool them. get a good ram cooler to go with it.

i think that is too low, it will conflict with the heatsinks.

my dad has that one and i will go check if it has room for a huge heatsink like that.

EDIT: no it will not fit. there is about 1/3 of and inch between the top of the ram and the bottom of the cooler.


go with something like this, looks like it will fit.

You can always place a spare case fan in front of them, or do what I do, orient your cpu cooler so that it pulls air across them.

well I plan on using a cooler master Cosmos 1000 case which has an arm made for cooling GFX cards and I could easily fit a 120mm over the ram if need be.

The Corsair cooler looks like it'd do the job just fine though.
