I am also considering Windows 7 as my operating system. So it's either that or Home Premium.
What brand of 4870 would you reccomend and why?

Do you do a lot of overclocking? A P45 chipset would be your best bet if you do, and a step up from that Q6600. That DFI board is kinda lame anyways because it only supports DDR2 800.

I've never overcloecked before but I do plan on overclocking with this build. Which of the boards would be the best? And is that Q9550 better than Q6600? Better overclocking? And last but not least, which 4870's should I get?

Also keep in mind that I have already purchased my RAM listed above in my first post, along with that CPU Cooler. Will the CPU cooler still be compatible with that Q9550? And what about the RAM with the P45 boards?

Yup, the memory and cpu cooler will be compatible with everything. The Q9550 is a lot faster and will overclock better compared to the Q6600. If you can afford it, I say go for it, you'll get a better bang for your buck. And that Biostar TP45 I listed is a high quality overclocker, that would be my choice.

Yes, that power supply will be enough power for your system as well as other upgrades. That 4870x2 should perform well, they run a little hot and are power hungry though.

I've used a Biostar motherboard before and they have nice features wthin the bios for overclocking and such. Its been proven that P45 chipsets are better at overclocking compared to X48 chipsets. They generally reach further clock speeds, with great stability.

Which is better though? That Biostar or Gigabyte? Because the Gigabyte is x3 Award Winner.
