In my pants.
I have tried everything, I disabled overdrive and tried using 3rd party software like ATI tray tools and ATI tool, whenever I try to overclock my card with ATI tray tools I get a BSOD and ATI tool wont even load up for me...im using windows vista 32 bit home premium and the card I am trying to overclock is my ATI Radeon 3450 256

That just means you've gone too far.. drop the clock down some..

Try RivaTuner also, but just so you know the HD 3450 doesn't have much headroom

Use either RivaTuner or ATITools to crank up your cooling fan, too. Otherwise the heat will shut you down.

That's a good idea too, but it only works if your cooling is not passive (aka it actually has a fan on it..)

If I remember correctly 75% of the HD 3450's are Passive because they were built for HTPC use to be as quiet as possible
