Up the bus speed to 240 (2.52ghz) and call it a day. Raise the Vcore to 1.3Volts if necessary.

Im courious to why or who talked you into getting the x3 8450.

if it was all your budget allowed that is one thing, but if you had any extra cash, there were better options

me personally, i would rather spend less for the x2 7750 than the x3 8450
or more for the x3 710.

X3 710 would clock higher and run cooler as well. Not to mention it is clock for clock faster.

Go for the overclock I suggested though. With a 2.5ghz triple core you should be able to run a fair amount of programs with not too many issues.
