So I am looking for a laptop for my mum for business use pretty much exclusively. I have a copy of windows xp pro with serial so operating system doesn't really matter. I am looking for a little speed demon, my mum is older so her eyesight isn't as good as it use to be but it also needs to be highly portable which is like trying to balance running towards a knife wielding serial killer or jumping of the top of the empire state building. Also needs to be cheap, so far found:

Hello,

With the requirements you've given, personally I would say no to netbooks.

What is your budget?

Budget is flexible but around £250 cheaper being better however It can go upto £300 at a push. The only requirement is your general user e.g. Office suite, browser open at the same time, hence why nothing powerful is needed. I was a bit harsh she's not that bad eyesight wise so should be able to deal with a small screen provided its not tooo minute, if you look at my links you should be able to get an idea of the general specs wanted

I have a MSI Wind U100 and highly recommend it. It's fast enough to handle everything you mentioned. The screen is excellent and much easier to see than you would expect for a 10'. The build quality is also great.
