Hey, I've been researching a lot for a new gaming PC and this is what I have come up with. I have a few questions: will this handle games like The Orange Box, Crysis, Far Cry 2, COD5, WiC, and Company of Heroes maxed out? (I know Crysis prbly no, but how well will it stand in it?) And also, would this set up allow me to install another HDD later on with Linux installed for programming purposes? Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Yes to all that :)

The build looks pretty good, personally I wouldn't get a raptor HDD since the speed gain isn't all that much (you'd be better off going for a small, fast SSD, and also getting a large storage drive).

No SLi? I didn't know that. Hm, well that's not gonna work...what mobo would you suggest for my CPU that has SLi? My budget's right in that $2000 range, I think I have that worked to like $1850 right now, but with a mobo change hopefully the price doesn't change much.

For that price go for an i7 build. The boards for them, which are X58, support SLI. And i7 would be a better bang for your buck.

Ya I was looking at them (the i7s) but are those better for gaming? I've heard mixed reviews between the i7, the Qxxxx series, and the Duos. And idk I couldn't seem to price a system for my budget with the i7.

They are better for everything. Theres no competition. The mixed reviews may have been from very early benchmarks from test equipment that wasnt optimised. They clearly beat out the Core 2s and the Phenom IIs.

Tell us your budget and we can put together the best bang for your buck gaming PC.

EDIT: My bad, just realised you already did give a budget...

Wow! That system looks pretty killer, thx lol. With that set up I could add another GTX 285 down the road right? Or would the PSU need to be bigger?
