I just added a HD4670 to my spare parts PC and some things seem to be lagging in COD WAW on lower settings and no AA on, I have a current MB that can take quad core and 2 gigs of 800mhz DDR2 BUT I have a old Pentium D 945 at 3.4 ghz. Would this CPU be bottle necking the system. I'm going to eventually be using this system for a media center when I finally get a LCD TV so that why I got the 4670 with Integrated HDMI port and HDCP ready. I know the cpu was the weakest link, but is it that bad???

It shouldnt be THAT bad. I mean, its pretty poor but it shouldnt be coughing out on Low settings in cod.

That's what I thought, Who knows, Maybe that old 200 gig HD is getting tired, Once I'm done with the windows Beta on my main system, I'm putting the extra Seta drive (I'm duel booting with win 7 and 2 HD's) in the other system with the Pent. D Thanks for the feedback.

i had a pentium d 940 and a 8500GT a while ago and it would max out cod4 at 1680x1050 and get a good 30-40FPS.

have you tried overclocking?
