Hello all.

I have had a Belkin Wireless Network adapter for a few years. It's one of these standard ones:

My computer is situated about 5 meters away from the router and there is a single wall inbetween. The signal has always been flawless at 4 or 5 bars. Last week however, my computer found it impossible to connect to the router. The only fix was to put the network adapter on the end of a USB extension cable and pop it round the other side of the wall. This only makes it about a 0.5 meters closer, but it connects flawlessly again with 4 or 5 bars of signal.

So, does anyone know why after years of use, my network adapter can no longer connect through walls?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any info!

May just be getting old. It's hard to tell, really.

Have you checked to make sure nothing's wrong with your computer? You never know, maybe something is gunking up your connection.

I'm unaware of anything gunking up. As far as i can tell i just turned it on one day and it had stopped working! I assume it's just getting old.
