New Computer Won't turn On

Just built a new rig, at first it fired right up & went to the bios prompt screen, it was getting late in the day & i had to pack it up & head home with everything. Today i try to turn it on & all i get is a momentary light on the on/off switch, fans begin to run & then it shuts right off.

What could be wrong?, i have checked the plugs, there was one power supply plug which was kinda defective & was tough to get it to go together with the female plug. Any advise would be appreaciated, thanks.

Did you physically move the computer? Is it possible something came loose in the process?

I would suspect cpu or cpu power cable if theyre are no system beeps to hint anything else

As it turned out, the cpu fan unit had come loose from the motherboard and was not set propperly on the cpu itself

I have the same problem sometimes. I noticed that If I unplug somthing like my video card the computer will turn on fine then I turn it back off put the video card in and it will work. My problem is my PSU, what are your system specs and what PSU do you have?
