DDR2 Rams with Different Frequencies...does It Work?

Well the title says it all...

Im just about to purchase a new DDR2 ram... the one that i have in my pc right now has a freq of 333Mhz while the new one that im trying to purchase I just read it has 800Mhz...

Im just wondering if it would cause any problem.

No not really it would just stop the 800mhz ram working at full speed.

ok so both will be running at 333 but still 4gb ram is better than 2gb... xD

It will downclock to the slower speed DIMM that is installed.
